I'm also wondering if i need all Keyscape, Omnisphere and Trillian subfolders in the STEAM folder on my harddrive for all this to work?īasically, i can't patch the Keyscape.dll file, and the Response Code isn't working when i try them.
I've also read people saying 1.1.2 c is just an update, and i need a previous version for it to work, as there is nothing to patch in 1.1.2c I've also read other posts saying i need omnisphere for keyscape to work (i can't find a working version Omnisphere anywhere) I don't want to do that unless its necessary. I've read i need to run the KeyGen as an admin, but i don't know how to do that - (but when reading about it, I think i might have to run Wine as a "sudo" through Terminal, as its Wine that opens the KeyGen, but i've also read that running Wine with sudo is dangerous and not a good idea. so that both Ableton and the KeyGen aren't running at the same time) pasting the Challenge Code, clicking Generate to make a Response Code, copying it, closing the KeyGen, opening Ableton again, running keyscape in it, then pasting the response code, then closing Keyscape, but when i re-open it it asks me for the response code again (i.e. I also tried opening my DAW (Ableton), opening keyscape, copying the challenge code, closing Ableton, opening the KeyGen (i.e. I downloaded Spectrasonics_Keyscape_Installer_v1.1.2c_macOS - I ran the installer on step 1 (which installs keyscape) - I downloaded the 180GB Spectrasonics folder (which includes the STEAM folder and a Keyscape, Omnisphere, and Trillian subfolder within the STEAM folder) - I moved Spectrasonics folder (but without the omnisphere or trillian subfolders as i don't have 180gb of free space) to MacintoshHD/Users/Library/(myname)/Library/Application Support - I moved the Spectrasonics_KeyGen_OSX to the same folder location where the keyscape.dll is - I opened the Spectrasonics_KeyGen_OSX (this is where things start to not work) - I clicked "Patch" then tried to patch the Keyscape.dll - it says Patch Failed.
Sorry guys, i know several people have posted about this, but often at the point where i'm at, people will just say "figured it out, thanks" without saying how they actually got it working!
